This glossary walks through the ingredients we reach for every day and the scent families our soaps, lotions, candles, and wax melts fall into, so you can shop by what your skin loves and what your nose loves.

Our Ingredients

Goat Milk

Goat milk is the heart of every bar we make. We use goat milk from small Midwest farms, and it gives our soap its signature creamy, cushiony lather and a gentle feel that folks with dry skin and sensitive skin especially appreciate. You'll find it in every bar in our Hand Poured Goat Milk Bar Soaps collection — and only in our soaps, never in our lotions or body butters.

Organic Oils & Butters

Our soap base starts with organic oils and butters — including olive oil, coconut oil, and shea butter — blended in small batches for a hard, long-lasting bar with a rich lather. Olive oil keeps the bar gentle, coconut oil brings the bubbles and cleansing, and shea butter adds that smooth, lotion-like feel people write reviews about. It's the same base across our goat milk bar soaps, so once you find a scent you love, the feel stays familiar.

Ground Oats

We stir hand-ground oats right into our soap batter. Oats give the bars a soft, barely-there texture and a wholesome, old-fashioned feel at the sink or in the shower — it's one of the reasons our bars are a favorite for dry skin and everyday gentle cleansing. Soy Wax from Midwest-Grown Soybeans

Our candles and wax melts are poured with soy wax made from Midwest-grown soybeans. Soy wax burns clean and slow and carries scent beautifully, which is why a single wax melt can perfume a whole room.
